Paul Wallis

Paul qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and has since then specialised in court work. He is able to undertake a wide range of Civil and Commercial litigation, drawing on the experience he gained, first in London, and then in Hitchin and Luton. He has a breadth of experience in dispute resolution, in the context of mediation, or court proceedings.  He is also the designated supervisor for our Housing Franchise, awarded to us by the Legal Services Commission, and so his case load has a particular emphasis on residential property, in the field of both public and private law.

While much of his work is for Tenants, he is always happy to offer advice to private landlords. Many of his cases come from referrals, and Paul welcomes those from existing clients, other professionals, and ‘not for profit’ organisations. Therefore Paul is happy to undertake instructions in the following areas;

  • Rent and Mortgage possession cases
  • Other disputes regarding security of tenure, right to buy, succession, breach of covenant, and unlawful eviction
  • Entitlement to Housing Benefit
  • Homelessness and Allocations
  • Property disputes

Other examples of his fields of practice include:

  • Building disputes
  • Contractual disputes, including professional negligence
  • Debt recovery, personal and corporate insolvency
  • Employment Law
  • Trusts and disputes about co-owned property
  • Wills, Probate, and provision for family and dependents
